Hope Springs in Spring

I received a call yesterday from the co-leader of the "south cluster" of the county's beekeeper's association saying I am officially on the (fairly short) list of people who will, if all goes well, be granted a swarm or split from a local member.

I may soon have bees!

This is very, very exciting news.



Add to that the successful submission of my third packet of poetry and annotations in my third semester of grad school, and I find myself quite happy tonight. Plus we had 4th and Sea fish-and-chips for dinner, after a walk around the pond. After much work on the packet. After coffee with a friend. (And getting up early, before that, and before a chiropractic appointment, to work more on the packet.) Quelle journée!
