Had wonderful artwork from the girls as Christmas presents, and other thoughtful and practical gifts from my in-laws and friends. A Child's Christmas in Wales is playing, the fire is burning to warm the house, chickens have been put to bed and the New Year's puzzle is out of the box awaiting work. It feels like a blessed evening, and as though I've consumed more calories in the last 48 hours than I consumed in the 2 weeks leading up to them!
