happy poetry (formerly, briefly, titled "draft"!)

I know. I'm so chipper and happy in my poetry. But really, if I wanted to write cheerful rhyming verse, I'd apply for a job with a greeting card company.

It's been a really long week, and now that I'm at the end of it (although tomorrow will be busy and I work Sunday), I'm just so relieved.

And I just spent an hour tooling around on the Web looking for a good poem to post here. I read Ezra Pound, ee cummings, William Carlos Williams, Marianne Moore, Wislawa Szymborska, Dylan Thomas, Theodore Roethke. I must say, none of it was very cheerful. So I thought I would check out "humorous poetry," which led me to limericks.

Um....I reviewed several of those.

Um.

There were none that were appropriate to post here.
