Traveling

Ran for a couple of hours this morning (10 miles), now packing up and getting ready to hit the road. D will stay here and work, and it'll be a girls' getaway week. I expect to read a lot, write, lie in the sun, swim, and get caught up with friends and family.

I'm so grateful that I can do this--have the job, the car, and my health--to travel, take a break from routine, be with loved ones who live far away.

How is this vacation different from others? I am settling more into understanding and accepting who I am, and being okay with it. Or even better than okay. I did not push myself to get packed and get out the door. We'll go when we go, and get there when we get there. It's all fine. It's the journey.
