We have 27 Live Auction items, 95 Silent Auction items, a Raffle, and a "pull" where for $20 you can pick a felted heart from an olive tree: each felted heart contains an "item" worth at least $20. The alluring descriptions of most of these items (everything from hand-knit scarves to 7-day trips to Kauai) were mostly written by others. My job is the punch it up where necessary, check for grammatical errors, etc., and lay it all out to be printed.
The theme for the school's auction is "An Evening in Tuscany," inspired by the committee chair's recent visit there, not inspired (in spite of rumors to the contrary) by the Presbyterian Preschool's annual auction, "A Taste of Tuscany."
Yes, I was going to write the pet cemetery story tonight in my blog. But now my goal is to finish the 38+ page Auction catalog for final proofing and printing tomorrow instead.
A little more coffee, and I just might make it another 1.5 hours! :)
